Human Contingency: are we alone in the Universe?

The human kind appeared on the Earth a few years ago. Even so, it developed a notable capacity of intelligence, something unique among mammals and other living forms. With this, it now searches in its own history looking for answers. Why are we here? Are we alone? Where do we go on? These are some of the classic questions in human sciences.

However, could not human beings have existed as they are now on the Earth, following the evolutionary concept? Such possibility, if confirmed, could modify much of our concepts and actions, intervening even in our fate. If so, we could evolve better our form of thought, like a unit, avoiding wars and other ways of wastefulness. Of course, this would bring us with benefits for every individual, group, species and the own planet. In front of such possibility, as an intelligent species, we have not given the deserved value to our existence, provided that we can be a gift of nature, an eventuality of the universe. Will be it? Are we really unique in the universe? The next years and decades have much to tell us…
